welcome powerteacher Pro this to Tori will introduce you to your new grade book if you would like you can move the window with this tutorial next to your window is powerteacher pro so you can pause the video and work with the great book at the same time let's get started your curly on the assignment list page with our helpful overlay pointing to the four primary items you will use every day to navigate I'm going to click those button to turn off the overlay and start using powerteacher Pro you can always bring back the overlay and get additional help from The Help menu by choosing getting started my assignment list empty so let's begin by creating a new assignment simply click the create button which you can always see no matter what part of the Great Book you are in let's create a homework assignment for Mass worksheet part teacher pro has already selected my current class for this assignment but if I have other classes that should also be given this assignment I simply add them assignment name and select a category the category can contain default settings for the score type number of points and whether or not the assignment will count in the final grade so when you select a category you may see that items update automatically categories may have already been set up by your school or District if you wish to add extra points or weights to this assignment click the appropriate button and enter the required values next enter due date for the assignment then if desired Venture description for the assignment this description can be viewed by parents and students please note there are three other tabs at the top of the window the students tab lets you select students this assignment will apply to in the typical assignment that will apply to all students it's not necessary to come to this tab  The Tenors tab is used when your class is set for standards-based grading and you need to align one or more standards with the assignment being created simply choose one more standards to select them the publish tab is used to control this assignment will be visible to students and parents on their PowerSchool portal  when all these Simon settings have been completed click on Save and close if this is a repeating ass I you can click on Save and then choose duplicate I cannot see my first assignment and it to my assignment list  in this column you can see how many students have had score 101 do the time to enter scores simply click on the assignment name quick on the score column for a student to begin entering scores the score inspector world turn on the right side of the screen on a touchscreen device like a tablet or Chromebook this will be your keypad for entering scores arrow keys can also be used to move up down left and right through the cells remember to click the save button when done note that this page also has links to edit the assignment and to show more which will expand the summary box with more details about the assignment you can hide the summary box filter metrics and standard scores do using the gear icon on the right if you would like to change to another view of your grades click the grades button on the left menu I'm going to change to the scoresheet View  the slushy it was probably the most familiar looking view for an electronic Gradebook you can click or tap on any cell to open the inspector and enter or review ask or selected course grades if you wish to enter comments for the current marking period or mainly enter a final grade override if you are on a computer you can have for your mouse over an assignment name to see the play your name click on the assignment name to return to the score assignment page if there are standards aligned with the assignment this is the page where you can enter boethius the score and the standard scores clicking on return to scoresheet takes you back to where you were  should you wish to reverse the order of the assignments on the scoresheet clicker tap on show assignments from most recent this can be especially helpful on a touchscreen device to cut down on horizontal-scrolling powerteacher Pro will remember this preference okay let's switch to another class use the class selector at the top center of the screen to switch to another class the class is listed depends on the schedule term chosen here when you select a different class powerteacher probable switch that class and keep you on the same page you were already on should you wish to go right to the score for a class simply use this button instead if you teach the same course more than
