Dear Students and Parents:
This plans to be a wonderful year. I teach P.E. 1,2,4, and 5 periods. 3 and 6 are my Woodworking classes.
In P.E. it is a chance for everyone to enjoy and learn about the benefits of exercise. Throughout the year, we learn about how the body works and how it interacts with the environment. Whether it is pickle ball, soccer, ping pong, flag football, dance, basketball, or volleyball; we try to create a fun, challenging environment where everyone can find success if they try!
Grades are determined by effort and daily dressing down.
In introduction to Wood, students will learn the various concepts of construction, wood design, proper use of hand tools, (hammer, hand-saw, screw drivers, chisels, hand planes, etc) to power tools: Band-saw, scroll-saw, lathe, etc.
In Advanced Woodworking, students have successfully completed Intro to Wood. Projects are more advanced. They range from Adirondack chairs, bongo boxes, baseball bats, soap box cars, to hand held mirrors.
