Woodworking

Definitely one of the favorite spots on Magnolia's campus is the Woodworking Class. Students learn the lost art of woodworking creating various projects with their own hands (and tools of course!). They receive specialized instruction on how to safely use power tools such as the lathe, band saw, router, planner, and scroll saw. Students build jewelry boxes, baseball bats, Adirondack redwood chairs, musical bongo boxes, laminated cutting boards, Audubon approved blue bird houses, and much more. "It is wonderful to watch students grow and develop a sense of pride and ownership with their new craftsman skills."
