Band at Magnolia

This year, Green Band and Gold Band have been combined into a single Concert Band. Made up of 6th-8th graders, this ensemble represents a wide diversity of experience levels joining together to make an artistic and captivating musical product. Under the direction of Joshua Horton, Magnolia's newest music teacher, the group will be performing in various concerts throughout the school year. In addition to effective delivery and passionate instruction, Mr. Horton's overarching objective this school year is to build the Music program at Magnolia beyond its pre-pandemic levels. His belief is that training students in an instrument will result in young problem-solvers and discerning professionals. There is excitement in the air; come hear them play! Rehearsals take place toward the beginning of every school day.
