****Teacher Appreciation Week Update*** You did it!!!! The sponsorship for “Sack Lunches from Gristmill” is FULL!!!! So, so awesome! Next Friday, May 7th, all teachers and staff will have a custom made lunch ready for pick up in the teacher lounge.
There are just three slots left to fill ($30 gift cert. from “Nuts and Bolts Auto”) on the “Gift Card Drive” Sign Up Genius. If you aren’t familiar, “Nuts and Bolts Auto” is located in the Streeter Rd. business park. Rob and Danielle Lindsey are the owners of the shop as well as the auto glass repair business also located on site. They’ve been in the area for several years and have an excellent reputation for price and service. An FYI...if your car breaks down locally and you have AAA, they are the closest tow within 5 miles, aka no extra charge. ;).
Last, but not least, gift cards are due to the front office of Magnolia this Friday, April 30th. We’ve received about 1/4 of the pledged gift cards, please send yours in ASAP whereas they will be assembled this Friday, mid-morning, in preparation for next week’s celebration.
Thank you, as always, for your attention and support!!!
How can your student get involved and show their fave teacher what they’ve meant to them this year? Students may fill out this form “MVP” (see link below) and hand over the hard copy OR snap a pic of it and e-mail it to their teacher of choice on Wednesday, May 5th “Fan Mail.”

Saturday May 8th, will be the next United Way Food Access Saturday. The Food Access Saturday program was originally created to help working individuals & families who need help putting food on their table, but are unable to pick up food at local food distributions during the week. Since it began, the program has grown to encompass a larger population; welcoming others to the table. Through the Food Access Saturday program, anyone who needs food can pick up healthy groceries, including fresh produce. The program is open to all Nevada County residents who cannot make it to other food distributions Monday through Friday. United Way of Nevada County, in partnership with Interfaith Food Ministry (IFM) distributes food on the second Saturday of each month. Since its inception, nearly 3800 bags of food have been distributed to more than 1700 individuals and families. United Way of Nevada County strives to assure individuals and families in Nevada County are able to meet their basic need for food, emergency shelter and access to health care. The distributions take place at 440 Henderson Street, in Grass Valley, from 10am-noon on the 2nd Saturday of each month.
