Spirit Week
Are you ready for Spirit Week, Rattlers? Next week is our first Spirit Week of the year! Monday will be Our Future is So Bright, so wear sunglasses! Tuesday will be Color Comeback, so wear your grade's color! 6th grade will be wearing yellow, 7th grade gets to wear green, and 8th grade: we have you in pink! On Wednesday, We Are the Champions, so wear sports attire, jerseys, or represent your favorite College! Thursday is Anything But a Backpack Day! Be creative, but remember that you must have everything that you would need for a regular school day. Also, you must follow school guidelines in the student handbook. Anything you bring must be carried/controlled by you and no one else. Finally, Friday will be Freaky Friday! Students dress as staff and staff dress as students! Excited to see all that you come up with for next week! Keep checking our Rattler Report Google Classroom for more information on each Spirit Day!
 
8th Grade Boys Volleyball
Join us on today at 4pm in the big gym to cheer on our 8th grade Volleyball team! Let's go Rattlers! 
 
Rattler Reward Party
The first Rattler Reward Party of the year will take place this Thursday during lunch.  Turn your Rattler Pride Tickets into the grade specific plastic bins in the front office by the end of the day on Wednesday.  Be Kind, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Go Rattlers!!!
 
New York/Washington DC Trip
There will be an 8th grade New York/Washington DC Trip meeting on Tuesday, September 12th from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm in room 29 at Cottage Hill. If you have any questions please contact Tina Toft at [email protected]
 
Know the Signs Training
Parents and staff, please join us on Tuesday, September 26th from 6:00 pm -7:00 pm at the Bear River High School Theater for a Know the Signs Training offered by Nevada County. This training is designed to empower the adults in our students' lives with the knowledge and tools to recognize the signs of suicide. Attendees will learns about the warning signs of suicide, how to engage with someone they're concerned about and resources to help.

We will be starting 3 small groups this month! If you are interested in joining one of the small groups, please reach out to Ms. Creighton! Reminder: there will be snacks provided!!
- Success Skills: Focuses on helping you with your academic success.
- New Student Crew: Helping you make fun connections on campus.
- Love Yourself: Focusing on positive thoughts and working through negative self-talk. 
 
Bid N' Barrels
Bid N' Barrels, Magnolia's largest fundraiser of the year, is Saturday, November 4th from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Vian Winery in Auburn. There will be a silent auction and raffle. For information on donations and volunteers, please email PTM at [email protected]

Students should not arrive earlier than 8:40 am, or remain on the campus later than 15 minutes after dismissal unless they are participating in a supervised activity.
