Food Access Saturday:

Saturday December 11,  will be the next United Way Food Access Saturday. The Food Access Saturday program was originally created to help working individuals & families who need help putting food on their table, but are unable to pick up food at local food distributions during the week. Since it began, the program has grown to encompass a larger population; welcoming others to the table. Through the Food Access Saturday program, anyone who needs food can pick up healthy groceries, including fresh produce. The program is open to all Nevada County residents who cannot make it to other food distributions Monday through Friday. United Way of Nevada County, in partnership with Interfaith Food Ministry (IFM) distributes food on the second Saturday of each month. Since its inception, nearly 3800 bags of food have been distributed to more than 1700 individuals and families. United Way of Nevada County strives to assure individuals and families in Nevada County are able to meet their basic need for food, emergency shelter and access to health care. The distributions take place at 440 Henderson Street, in Grass Valley, from 10am-noon on the 2nd Saturday of each month.

Kids Canned Food Drive is taking place now!  We are collecting non-perishable items to donate to the Nevada County Food bank.  Bring your items to the office or your 1st period now through November 18th.

The 8th grade girls basketball team did a great job against Union Hill. Even though it was a tough game our team scored 16 points. Here are some stats: Grace scored 6 points, Avelina, Addy, Rene, Eden, and Madi all scored 2 points. Hailey Eaton, Lena Marie, Avery, and Halle all played great defense.

Great first game for our 7th Grade Lady Rattlers against Union Hill.  Our ladies played tough defense against the Bearcats.  Elsie Payne scored 2 points and Lexi Roenspie made back to back free throws!  Great job ladies, the next game is Tuesday November 9th at home against Nevada City School of the Arts @ 4pm.

Just a reminder that this Thursday is Veterans Day and school is not in session.  Also, Friday is a professional development day and school is not in session for students.

Food Access Saturday:

Saturday November 13,  will be the next United Way Food Access Saturday.

Every week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15-4:00 pm in room B5 with Ms. Torgerson.  This is designed so students can get extra support with their current math homework and prepare for upcoming tests.  Students will need to get a ride home at 4:00 pm.  On these same days, there will also be a zoom session of math tutoring from 4 pm-4:45 pm for students who can’t stay on campus.  Here is the zoom link for this zoom tutoring: https://prsd-us.zoom.us/j/85315185176?pwd=dTJaWDM5WU1VYTRTVW9jcDZObWpSUT09

All Parents:

School Hours:

Students should not arrive earlier than 8:40 am, or remain on the campus later than 15 minutes after dismissal unless they are participating in a supervised activity.  Supervision will not be provided for students who arrive before or depart after these times.

Food Access Saturday:

Saturday November 13,  will be the next United Way Food Access Saturday.
