Emergency Day/TC

If two or fewer emergency days are implemented in the 2022-23 school year, June 9 2023 will be a Teacher Contract Day and will represent the 186th day of work for Certificated members and the final day of the work year. If three emergency days are implemented in the 2022-23 school year, June 9 will be a school day and the Teacher Contract day will be on June 12 and represent the 186th day of work for Certificated members and the final day of the work year. If all four emergency days are implemented in the 2022-23 school year, June 9 and 12 will be school days and teachers will only be required to work 185 work days for the 2022-2023 school year.  This shift in workdays will be for the 2022-23 school year only and will not set a precedent or constitute past practice.
