6TH Grade:

All sixth graders have the opportunity to participate in Cross Country and Track and Field.

There are no try-outs and no cuts. Any sixth grader who wishes to participate may do so. Cross Country occurs during the fall trimester, track and field takes place during the spring trimester. Practices and meets are scheduled after school. Track events range from 100 meters to 1600 meters, as well as long jump, high jump, discus throw and shot put.

7th/8th Grade:

Seventh and Eighth Graders have the opportunity to participate in the following after school sports:

 
Girls’ Basketball Fall Trimester
Cross Country Fall Trimester
Boys’ Volleyball Fall Trimester
Boys’ Basketball Winter Trimester

Girls’ Volleyball Spring Trimester
Track and Field Spring Trimester

Seventh and Eighth Grade teams compete in the Nevada County Athletic League. Large School Teams include: Lyman Gilmore, Seven Hills, Magnolia, Union Hill, Pleasant Valley, Forest Lake, and Weimar.

Basketball and Volleyball hold try-outs to select their players. Football, Cross Country, Track and Field and Wrestling are open to all participants.
