The goal is to make communication easy for our parents as they could be getting information from two schools and 5 teachers, all in one concise email.

Attention sixth grade parents:  Final Science Camp payments are due April 8th.
 
PTM:
Thank you to all the patrons and donors who contributed to the Parents Club Bid-n-Barrel fundraiser.  A little over $5000.00 was raised to help  fund/support school projects and enhance education.  The PTM also helps raise  money for the sixth grade Science Camp scholarship fund.
 
We need to submit nominations for next year's PTM board. This opportunity is open to all the Magnolia parents. The positions needed to make a full quorum are: President, Treasurer and Secretary. Other positions can be fulfilled as well such as Vice President, Fundraiser Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, Social Media guru and Committee members.

The American Dental Association Foundation is hosting a FREE dental day for Children 18 yrs. and younger with a financial need.  You can schedule an appt by emailing Dr. Pfaffinger at [email protected]. When: March 23rd 8-5 PM Grass Valley and Nevada City.  Please include your child's name, age,level of anxiety and any known dental problems.
 
All Families:
On Tuesday April 9th, KVMR radio community forum will be broadcasting live "Suicide Awareness"  from 6-8 p.m. Listeners can participate.
 

Dear Magnolia Parents,

Yearbook is planning on printing a baby photo page. If you would like your child’s baby picture on this page, send ONE picture to Mrs. Lavelle @[email protected] and include the student's name and approximate age. We will try our best to get all of the photos into the yearbook. Photos must come from parents only.

Saturday, April 13th, will be the next United Way Food Access Saturday. The Food Access Saturday program was originally created to help working individuals & families who need help putting food on their table, but are unable to pick up food at local food distributions during the week. Since it began, the program has grown to encompass a larger population; welcoming others to the table. Through the Food Access Saturday program, anyone who needs food can pick up healthy groceries, including fresh produce. The program is open to all Nevada County residents who cannot make it to other food distributions Monday through Friday. United Way of Nevada County, in partnership with Interfaith Food Ministry (IFM) distributes food on the second Saturday of each month. Since its inception, nearly 3800 bags of food have been distributed to more than 1700 individuals and families.

United Way of Nevada County strives to assure individuals and families in Nevada County are able to meet their basic need for food, emergency shelter and access to health care. The distributions take place at 440 Henderson Street, in Grass Valley, from 10am-noon on the 2nd Saturday of each month. For more information contact United Way at 274-8111 or [email protected].

Research shows that children who read just 20 minutes per day score in the 90th percentile on standardized tests. Come to the Book Fair to stock up on the books your child will love reading and ignite your home reading habits.Please mark your calendars to visit our Book Fair and discover your child’s next favorite book!

six sessions designed to help parents equip kids with character, compassion, problem solving skills and more! The cost is FREE, free childcare and a light dinner will be provided for each session. Starts March 4, 2019 at Cottage Hill School room 10. Additional dates are 3/4, 3/11,3/18, 3/25, 4/1,4/8. Registration forms are available and may be turned in to your school site.

Parents: Please be prepared to show a picture ID when checking your student out during the school day.
 
Parking lot Etiquette:
Please remember when picking up your student after school to keep the line moving in a safe manner. If your student is not ready to be picked up please park in a parking spot, you can also pick up in the Cottage Hill basketball parking lot. We have had some near "hits" and back-ups due to cars blocking other cars and drivers not paying attention when students walk into the lot to the car that is waiting for them. Student safety should be everyone's first priority.

The Magnolia Theatre Arts class is performing their production of The Mystery at Misty Pines on Friday, March 22nd at 7PM.  This show is open to family and friends and is a comedy the whole family can enjoy.  Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted.
 
Thank you to all the patrons and donors who contributed to the Parents Club Bid-n-Barrel fundraiser.  A little over $5000.00 was raised to help  fund/support school projects and enhance education.  The PTM also helps raise  money for the sixth grade Science Camp scholarship fund.

Saturday, April 13th, will be the next United Way Food Access Saturday. The Food Access Saturday program was originally created to help working individuals & families who need help putting food on their table, but are unable to pick up food at local food distributions during the week. Since it began, the program has grown to encompass a larger population; welcoming others to the table. Through the Food Access Saturday program, anyone who needs food can pick up healthy groceries, including fresh produce. The program is open to all Nevada County residents who cannot make it to other food distributions Monday through Friday. United Way of Nevada County, in partnership with Interfaith Food Ministry (IFM) distributes food on the second Saturday of each month. Since its inception, nearly 3800 bags of food have been distributed to more than 1700 individuals and families.

United Way of Nevada County strives to assure individuals and families in Nevada County are able to meet their basic need for food, emergency shelter and access to health care. The distributions take place at 440 Henderson Street, in Grass Valley, from 10am-noon on the 2nd Saturday of each month. For more information contact United Way at 274-8111 or [email protected].

We have had some near "hits" and back-ups due to cars blocking other cars and drivers not paying attention when students walk into the lot to the car that is waiting for them. Student safety should be everyone's first priority.

Please remember when picking up your student after school to keep the line moving in a safe manner. If your student is not ready to be picked up please park in a parking spot, you can also pick up in the Cottage Hill basketball parking lot. We have had some near "hits" and back-ups due to cars blocking other cars and drivers not paying attention when students walk into the lot to the car that is waiting for them. Student safety should be everyone's first priority.

Saturday, April 13th, will be the next United Way Food Access Saturday. The Food Access Saturday program was originally created to help working individuals & families who need help putting food on their table, but are unable to pick up food at local food distributions during the week. Since it began, the program has grown to encompass a larger population; welcoming others to the table. Through the Food Access Saturday program, anyone who needs food can pick up healthy groceries, including fresh produce. The program is open to all Nevada County residents who cannot make it to other food distributions Monday through Friday. United Way of Nevada County, in partnership with Interfaith Food Ministry (IFM) distributes food on the second Saturday of each month. Since its inception, nearly 3800 bags of food have been distributed to more than 1700 individuals and families.

United Way of Nevada County strives to assure individuals and families in Nevada County are able to meet their basic need for food, emergency shelter and access to health care. The distributions take place at 440 Henderson Street, in Grass Valley, from 10am-noon on the 2nd Saturday of each month. For more information contact United Way at 274-8111 or [email protected].

Through the Food Access Saturday program, anyone who needs food can pick up healthy groceries, including fresh produce. The program is open to all Nevada County residents who cannot make it to other food distributions Monday through Friday. United Way of Nevada County, in partnership with Interfaith Food Ministry (IFM) distributes food on the second Saturday of each month. Since its inception, nearly 3800 bags of food have been distributed to more than 1700 individuals and families.

United Way of Nevada County strives to assure individuals and families in Nevada County are able to meet their basic need for food, emergency shelter and access to health care. The distributions take place at 440 Henderson Street, in Grass Valley, from 10am-noon on the 2nd Saturday of each month. For more information contact United Way at 274-8111 or [email protected].

six sessions designed to help parents equip kids with character, compassion, problem solving skills and more! The cost is FREE, free childcare and a light dinner will be provided for each session. Starts March 4, 2019 at Cottage Hill School room 10. Additional dates are 3/4, 3/11,3/18, 3/25, 4/1,4/8. Registration forms are available and may be turned in to your school site.

Parking lot Etiquette:
Please remember when picking up your student after school to keep the line moving in a safe manner. If your student is not ready to be picked up please park in a parking spot, you can also pick up in the Cottage Hill basketball parking lot. We have had some near "hits" and back-ups due to cars blocking other cars and drivers not paying attention when students walk into the lot to the car that is waiting for them. Student safety should be everyone's first priority.

Wildfires, Lock-Downs, Shelter in Place, what it all means for you as a parent/guardian of a student.
