Every evening, you will receive an email with any updates from your subscribed pages.

If you have 3 children from either Alta Sierra/Cottage Hill or Magnolia AND you have subscribed to their Update, Newsletter or Teacher Pages, you will receive one email that contains all of the updates. The goal is to make communication easy for our parents as they could be getting information from two schools and 5 teachers, all in one concise email.

Bulletin 1/30

Future Bruin Day
Future Bruin Day is Friday, February 3rd, from 9:30-12:30. 8th grade students will walk to Bear River High School, attend a rally, meet the Bear River staff, tour the campus, learn about class options and discover club and sports opportunities. Don't forget to turn in your permission slips by Friday, January 27th so you can attend this event.
 
8th Grade SAEL Presentation
Any 8th grade students who are interested in learning more about SAEL high school can attend a presentation in A5/A6 on February 2nd from 12:00-12:45 (4th period). It will be the responsibility of the students to make up any work that is missed during the period.

Students should not arrive earlier than 8:40 am, or remain on the campus later than 15 minutes after dismissal unless they are participating in a supervised activity.

Enjoy a night of bingo AND also get a chance to use your creative skills and decorate cookies…to be judged AND to eat!! There will be prizes throughout the evening for bingo winners AND for some awesome decoration skills. Tickets are $5 dollars for admission OR $10 for the pizza value pack (admission, one slice of pizza, a drink, and a piece of candy). There will be extra pizza, drinks, and candy to purchase throughout the night. All proceeds help fund our science camp extras!! 
Tickets go on sale the week of January 19th at lunchtime. Permission slips are (will be) available through your 6th-grade teacher or in the office.

Are you interested in creating fun videos during lunch on Tuesdays and Wednesdays? What about creating news videos for the Magnolia Minute? What is the Magnolia Minute? It is Magnolia's news broadcast that can be published weekly, biweekly or monthly. 
 
This video tech club will explore the fun things to do with digital and video cameras. Students will also get to play with video editing software to create fabulous works of art!!
 
Please check your emails for the Google Form and fill it out if you are interested. Please respond by Friday, January 20, 2023 OR see Mrs. McKnight in the PIT (Computer Lab) at lunchtime.

Giving Tree
All the ornaments have been taken on our first Giving Tree at Magnolia!!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support. This holiday season, Magnolia has set up a Giving Tree to help support our students and families. If you'd like to contribute, please stop by the Magnolia office to select a gift request and return a wrapped gift by December 14th. An Amazon wish list has also been created for those of you who'd like to shop, but can not make it into the office during the week.
