Choir Students: Please note the rescheduled choir practice time is now on Friday 11/22 from 2:45-3:15.
 
Attention all Students if you played in band previously or would like to join band and learn an instrument, Mr. Richardson will be starting a new class Green Band next trimester.  We are especially looking for Trombone and Tuba players.  Please see Mr. Richardson this week for more information.
 
Yearbook needs a team photo of the cross country team. If you have one, please give it to Mrs. Massie.
 
Leo Club will be meeting today during lunch in A4.
 
Rattler Wrestling Club: Come and see what it is all about!  Boys and Girls grades 6-8 are all welcome.  We are meeting today in A6 during lunch.
 
Congratulations to the The 8th Grade Rattler Girls Basketball Team on their win (37-15) against 7-Hills on 11/19. Krissy Kelly was a force to be reckoned with on the court scoring 21 points, as Cassidy Craig followed with 6 points, Lilly with 4, Camy, Jillian, & Selena 2 points each. Gina, Sabrina, Selena, & Savannah were on top of the rebounds. Great job ladies. Go Rattlers!
 
The 7th Grade Rattler Girls had a  win for magnolia (43-27) against 7- Hills on 11/19. Aly had a whopping 24 points with 7 steals,Taryn with 8 points with 8 steals , 5 rebounds, Jenna had 8 points, Monica and Sophia both added 2 points and Audrey 1. Great job ladies!
 

This week the Mag Esports team competed against Ishi Middle School in Oroville. Teams 1 and 3 had some crazy and tough competition AGAIN. Team 3's battled to the end with even a little bit of overtime mixed in, but Ishi overtook them at the last minute. They were amazing! Team 2 help give Magnolia some points on the board. They are on a roll. In the end, we lost 2 to 1 but all had fun! Congratulations to all the team members! Our next matches will be after we get back from Thanksgiving Break with the opponent “to be announced”.

Saturday, December 14th, will be the next United Way Food Access Saturday. The Food Access Saturday program was originally created to help working individuals & families who need help putting food on their table, but are unable to pick up food at local food distributions during the week. Since it began, the program has grown to encompass a larger population; welcoming others to the table. Through the Food Access Saturday program, anyone who needs food can pick up healthy groceries, including fresh produce. The program is open to all Nevada County residents who cannot make it to other food distributions Monday through Friday. United Way of Nevada County, in partnership with Interfaith Food Ministry (IFM) distributes food on the second Saturday of each month. Since its inception, nearly 3800 bags of food have been distributed to more than 1700 individuals and families.

United Way of Nevada County strives to assure individuals and families in Nevada County are able to meet their basic need for food, emergency shelter and access to health care. The distributions take place at 440 Henderson Street, in Grass Valley, from 10am-noon on the 2nd Saturday of each month. For more information contact United Way at 274-8111 or [email protected].

Parents: Please be prepared to show a picture ID when checking your student out during the school day.
 
Monday through Thursday school starts at 9:05 and is dismissed at 3:15
Friday school starts at 9:05 and is dismissed at 2:25
Minimum Day Schedule school starts at 9:05 and is dismissed at 1:20
Please remember that Magnolia does not have any campus supervision until 8:40am. Students may not be on campus until then. Thank you for your cooperation!
