Good Evening Rattlers!

Thursday we are on "B" Schedule with Rattler Time.

The Mandarin Sale is On!
Order forms for the Magnolia Student Council Annual Mandarin Sale are available now in the Magnolia School Office and on the school website. Newcastle Mandarin Ranch reports an abundant crop of juicy, sweet, and delicious fruit, due in part to the warm weather. A 10 lb. bag is only $14.00, and proceeds directly benefit Magnolia student activities. This year's delivery date is Thursday, November 19th.  Please visit the Magnolia website for mandarin recipes and order forms!

From PTM (Parents & Teachers for Magnolia):

Thank you, Magnolia families, for participating in this year’s Joker's Wild Fall Fundraiser! It has been a huge success. Raising money for updating the library was this year's focus.  Be looking for good reads coming soon.

Here are the tentative dates for distributing Fall Fundraiser prizes:

  • Wednesday, October 28th in first period class - Prizes & coupons will be distributed, including gift certificates to: LaserCraze, Studio Movie & Grill, Skatetown, and 49er Fun Park!                              Please remind your students to treat all the gift cards & coupons like cash; they are NOT replaceable!

  • Thursday, October 29th before school starts - Donuts & PJ’s: donuts will be given out in front of the office to those who earned this prize. Students need to have their coupon! PJ’s that are dress code approved can be worn to school. Again, students MUST have the coupon and present it to staff on request!

  • Thursday, October 29th lunchtime - Grab bags at lunch! Cash in your 4 Jokers Wild grab bag coupons for prizes. Be sure to pick up your sodas, candy, school gift certificates & other earned prizes right then.  This is the only day to redeem your items.  No holds! If your child is absent a staff member will pick your bags and prizes will be waiting in the office.

  • Friday, November 6th during school hours -Lunchtime in the library. Bring your lunch, your coupon & a friend. Mrs. Sharon will hand out treats and show a movie. (This is 1 of the many grab bag prizes.)

  • TBA, soon & during school hours - Games on Wheelz will host the students who earned this prize, plus 1 of their friends!

Remember, ALL COUPONS ARE EQUIVALENT TO CASH. You MUST have your coupon in order to receive your prize.

It has been wonderful seeing all the book requests come in. Thanks again, for helping make Magnolia wonderful!

From the Library:
Mystery Books - can't judge a book by its cover, so we covered them up! The first line of the first chapter is on the outside of the book. If the first line entices, then students check-out, read and write an online review, due October 30th. Treats rewarded for reading and writing a review.

Students can write online reviews for their peers by accessing Alexandria Researcher from the Magnolia Website/Student Links/Researcher. Type in the title of the books, star it and write review. All reviews are subject to review before posting.

Overdue Notices will go out Tuesday, October 27th. Please remind your students to renew or return their library books before then. (Mrs. Sharon)
